PADI DIVEMASTER COURSE

May be started on most days by prior arrangement. Allow minimum 2 weeks.

Prerequisites are Rescue Diver and 40 logged dives but a total of 60 dives must be logged prior to certification.

This is the first leadership level in PADI training and widely viewed as the entry point to the diving profession. Divemasters are frequently employed by Dive Centres as dive leaders and organisers.

The training which reflects this responsibility and also builds the foundation for successful participation in an IDC/IE covers Knowledge Development (theory), Personal Diving Skills and the Practical Application of both of these. The standard course is a fixed programme of "role playing" (5 open water dives).

There is also the more informal "internship" (10 open water dives) during which you act as an assistant to an experienced Instructor getting involved in the classroom, and both the confined and the open water training.

Tuition fee, transport, use of cylinder, air and lead included.

Not included:
PADI Divemaster Materials: €299
PADI DM application fees: €140

Every year we offer a limited number of Divemaster Internships, where candidates are integrated into our team of Instructors and allowed to follow and observe one of our more Senior Instructors for a longer period (4-6 weeks). Should you be interested in the Divemaster internships you can view them under the Pro section of our web site
